Mariella Frostrup makes a very good point. Folks didn't want to leave their own countries until we got involved in wars with them and exploiting their resources. The UK, along with others in the EU, and the USA, created a huge amount of this problem. #bbcqt

Jess Phillips seems a decent sort to me. I reckon she’s doing her best to navigate this grooming gang enquiry and I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes. Resigning won’t make anything better, but she’d probably enjoy some other work more. #poisonedchalice

Israel withholds aid to Gaza because the bodies of some hostages haven’t yet been returned. Abhorrent. I’ll bet they’re under tons of rubble, caused by Israeli bombing.

I feel sorry for the Israeli families that haven’t had the bodies of their loved ones back. I’m also certain that many of them lie under the rubble of Palestinian buildings which were completely destroyed by Israel. Have you seen the state of the place? #c4news

It’s pretty galling when a website accepts your order, stating that delivery is free, and then a human contacts you and tells you that delivery to your postcode (which was entered correctly at the time) will be an extra £45. Just the latest in a long line of similar experiences!
