I have frequently quoted the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence on Blue sky but now that I might be hung for it? So interesting that someone's whose only authority rests on these documents wants them disregarded.

What happens if the Epstein files come out, are truly horrific and specific and his approval rating stays at 38% with enough support in congress to avoid impeachment conviction?

I haven't bought furniture for a long time. Today I needed a chair so I drove to an area of Santa Rosa that used to have about 6 stores. While I wasn't paying attention all of them went out of business. What happened to the furniture business?

"A lot of people didn't like him" is an odd thing for someone who has a 37% approval rating to say.

Could the plague of giant lips at Maralago be caused by vaccinations?

Just think how much different our national mood might be if the larger media companies listened to what every politician said and then fact checked it and only printed what was found to be true. Some folks would never be heard from again.

Are the Epstein files just another name for the Mueller report?

Presidents use the situation room during serious crises, It is interesting that according to his press secretary, Donald used it to phone Congress people to ask then not to vote to release the Epstein files. Draw your own conclusions.

While I dislike the caving of the Democrats, I don't think that the Republicans were going to ever vote for the ACA subsidies unless the Healthcare Corporations pressured them to. The shutdown was a quixotic adventure that accomplished very little and cost a lot.
November 11, 2025 at 5:01 PM
If there is any hope in this healthcare debacle it is not with our valiant fighting congress folks, it lies instead with the Major corporations including Blue Cross, Kaiser, and Pfizer not wanting to lose the money that ACA gives them. They own any number of Republicans so who knows?
November 10, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Nancy never let a bill go to the floor until she knew she had the votes. Chuck let the shutdown happen without knowing if it could be sustained until it worked. He did not have the votes but let it happen. That is why he should be removed from leadership. All this was for nothing.

Just wondering what to call the new party that emerges from the collapse of the corporate Democratic Party. The Democratic Reform Party, or the Liberal Progressives Or something better? Meanwhile it is time to organize the new party which will not accept corporate donations.

If the subsidies to the ACA are stopped, it will become too expensive for many, some say up to 15 million. Doctors will lose their business and hospitals will not be paid when they treat them. Hospitals and doctors will have to raise their rates to compensate, followed by the Insurance companies

The desire to become a serf in an authoritarian state is very much like the desire to be controlled and unemployed by AI. It suggests that a lot of people really just want to be told what to do. John Locke would be very upset by this.

I keep seeing people wanting Mike Johnson to do his job. Don't they realize that his job (unlike other Speakers) is to carry out the President's wishes. Remember how mad the President got when Mike Pence didn't understand that? Johnson is obeying orders.

AI companies should have to pay 100% of the cost of upgrading power networks to accommodate their needs.

Politicians are always interested in keeping their jobs. I wonder what the Republicans in Congress who hitched their wagon to Trump's star are thinking of that strategy now? Can they save themselves by disassociating themselves from him. Could doing their jobs save them? It would only take a few.

If money was water, the rich would have already drowned and the bottom 50% would have died from thirst. We are taking down dams in some places to restore the environment, why not change the system that has created this?

It's nice that the house Republicans have some time off to savor their last 14 months in office.
