No, you’re not allowed 4 seconds? That sounds like an urban myth riders tell themselves. You are not allowed to use a vehicle as leverage to move you forward (directly or indirectly). How much leeway you’re allowed is up to the commissairs, but if it’s uphill, 4s is outrageous.

Now he's been a central part in two Grand Tour victories and led Kooij and Brennan to tons of sprint wins.

I remember interviews from him last off-season, where he was looking forward to doing the small races for Visma and gaining experience in a big WT team.
Now he's been a central part in two Grand Tour victories and led Kooij and Brennan to tons of sprint wins.
Visma really found a gem there.
