Our colleague Hannes Vietzen and our department head Elisabeth Puchhammer-Stöckl established an amazing blood test for #MultipleSclerosis.
#MultipleSclerosis ➜ A #MedUniVienna team has developed a #bloodtest that can recognise the risk of the disease before first symptoms appear. 🩸🧪 This could allow measures that the onset of the disease can be delayed or prevented. ⬇️

after Bacmid transfection revealed compensatory second-site mutations, mainly in domain V, reverting this atypical phenotype and rescuing the infection capability. We suggest an important interaction between domains III and V during the fusion process.
