Well, erm, this is new. Does anyone know which date format this platform uses? Does anyone know what I was doing at 00.22 on either the 8th of June or the 6th of August 2021, because I wasn't on air in 2021, and definitely not on SSB at 00.22. Identity theft courtesy of QRZ.com.

After much detective work, it transpires that yesterday was the 40th anniversary of the day I joined the #RSGB. In those days, you could buy a wee white badge to show your loyalty. Nowadays, you can't even buy the gold badge for 50 years' membership, but at least you get a mention in RadCom.

RadCom was freed from its envelope from hell a lot easier this time round, but it still has go-faster stripes.

I succeeded in rescuing #RadCom from its sticky envelope, and it looks nice with its go-faster stripes. Thanks to @wgoodf.bsky.social for the warning.

The replacement copy of RadCom has arrived! There's an entire event dedicated to Dogs and Dog owners, another for Nigels, and news of the passing of Dr. Douglas Brown GM8FFH. I seem to remember attending a public talk he gave at Strathclyde University about John Logie Baird. No idea when, though.

In a shocking turn of events, I sent envelopes to the QSL Bureau Sub-Manager yesterday. This comes hot on the heels of updating my paper Logbook for the first time in 11.5 years; getting AG-ed on eQSL; picking a free image for my eQSL 'card', and updating my bio on QRZ. The excitement.

I'm not sure that this Tonight@8 has helped. He lost me at the screwed-up bullet lists, misuse of the apostrophe, and the mispronunciation of Koch. 🤯

As someone with no Passport or Photo Card Driving Licence, and no need for either, and also being bereft of a 'Government-issued Photo ID', how on earth am I meant to comply with P*yP*l's idiotic, inflexible Verification procedure (for two radio-related subscriptions totalling 30 quid)? 🤬

It's hard to believe that my last trip to both the NARSA Radio Rally and to Blackpool was on the 10th of April 2016. There are many reasons, not least of which is Avanti West Coast, the worst thing to happen to the railways since Richard Beeching.

In my humble opinion, the short-sleeved, light blue shirt with logo is so last year. Wear a tie and a jacket. Even better, wear a bow-tie, and no big, bushy beards, thank you very much. #RSGBAGM
