Entirely undistinguished. Middle-class woman of a certain age happy to call out entitled pests.
@mrjamesob.bsky.social Missed the last 45mins of your programme today, but in my view, the reason any ‘revelations’ about Trump don’t make a difference is that he was already known for what he is: a lying, racist, misogynist (amongst other attributes). So it matters, but can’t hurt him.

What excuses could Southern Water possibly have for discharging sewage at Bexhill when there’s been no rain for well over a week?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social re the debate about parents/teachers: I was a teacher then in Family Support. I frequently had to ask parents ‘Who’s in charge in this house?’ Children need boundaries and parents need help in understanding that it’s important to have discipline (not the same as punishment).

@mrjamesob.bsky.social children should have 40 strong muscles by the age of 4. Some now have only 7 at 7+ years old. That’s down to being driven, sat in buggies too long, carried and insufficient outdoor play. Children need to be walking and actively playing to build physical strength.

Listening to Wallace semi-apologising for his comment about middle-age, middle-class women, all I’m hearing is a bit of ‘if I have offended…’ guff, followed by a ‘poor me’ riff.

What does it say about my village that the local store has Telegraph, Times, Mail, Sun and Express immediately on view, ready to grab. Readers of FT, Guardian, I and Star hidden round the back? At least my grandchildren know where to find my papers.

Suggestions please for the 4 of us who have finished the SWCP and are looking for our next 6/7 day walking adventure. We’ve done St Cuthbert’s, Dales, and St Swithin’s Ways. I’ve done others separately, but recommendations please.
