There’s a wealthy guy in our village who has done a huge amount locally to support eg youth club, community enterprises, some businesses. There are exceptions.

Under taxation rules no-one gets to decide who or what is worthy of treatment. If we chose not to pay for eg dental treatment, later costs from rotten teeth would require more funding. No opt-outs. No lucky/smug healthy living discounts.

Both AI and humans are fallible and can be obtuse (deliberately or otherwise), but if I have a problem, I’d generally prefer to speak to an actual person.
And I consider what has happened in those great industrial areas when mining, steel, manufacturing industries disappeared.
