Reflecting on my progress, I feel more confident in French, Portuguese, and Spanish. My vocabulary has expanded, pronunciation improved, and cultural understanding deepened. Balancing work in Filipino and Hiligaynon translation has strengthened my grasp of linguistic nuances.

The journey isn’t just about writing. It’s about learning every aspect ~ cover design, formatting, marketing, and more. It’s exciting and a little overwhelming, but I’m committed. The best part? Every author’s path is unique, and I’m ready to see where this road leads.

Editing is where the magic happens. I initially thought I could do it all myself, but I soon learned the value of a professional editor. Fresh eyes catch mistakes I missed and help improve the flow.

That said, I might need an editor.

Revisions can feel daunting, but they’re essential. I’ve learned to approach them with patience and an open mind. Sometimes, I need to let the manuscript sit before revising with fresh eyes. Beta readers help identify blind spots. Even published authors revise multiple times.

I gotta say, this is no longer appearing as the bookstagram I wanted. 📚 That being said, I still want to post everything about books, the book community, and that kind of author. ✍ But I guess, I can post non-book-related stuff, maybe? 👋

My last published book was in 2022. Thinking ahead, I’m excited about future projects. I plan to write more, refine my craft, and explore new genres. Today, I reaffirm my commitment. The best is yet to come. ❤️

After months of bothering MS Support, today I saw that my laptop received the update to enroll in Extended Security Updates (ESU) for free. Just a week before they stop the support to Windows 10.

Oh, wow 😬 I thought my posts in Buffer were still scheduled. I've been quiet for 22 days. No wonder.

Poet Kahlil Gibran has consistently synthesized his works with philosophical or, rather, spiritual themes ~ making them timeless classics.

Collectively, his works underscore human nuances, existential purpose, and the divine.

How many languages do you need to speak to be a polyglot? Does it have to be foreign languages or can you add your own native tongue?

Have certificates for French, E. Portuguese, and Spanish, so...

Children’s literature often tackles big themes, you know ~ fear, bravery, kindness, when a parent is 🙏 , or 🍇 Sometimes better than adult books. Kids’ stories ARE profound.

And they say writing children's books is easy 😩 No, it's not.

My weekend readings: Reading across eras with a large gap of language evolution.
From Old English to slang-filled modern prose.

And, it helps me relax 😜 😀 😆

I can speak and write French and Portuguese, but without practice, I might forget them. So I’m re-enrolling for review, reading books, practicing writing, and watching movies in these languages to stay in tip-top shape.

Also for work. Work ~ yes.

I also love to read contemporary books, you know ~ I love how contemporary writers push boundaries, blending genres and challenging norms. It makes literature so dynamic and exciting. Like a literary playground ^^

Fairy smut? Thriller? Growing up? Fantasy?

The biggest tip? Be authentic. Share your journey, struggles, and successes. Readers connect with real people.

The Trump aid freeze has severely impacted UNICEF and partner organizations with UNICEF. This threatens essential programs in education & child protection. I can attest that Africa is showing resilience, with ongoing hiring and regional growth in key sectors. Despite all the global chaos.

Diving into classics like George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, and Ray Bradbury always feels like uncovering hidden worlds. Hidden worlds? They just predicted the future. Petition to have them move to the Nonfiction classics or news section, please 👍

PART 7 MISNOMER
Communications Consultants vs Communication Officers

What should future Comms people know ~
- Develop hybrid skillsets (strategic thinking, problem-solving, technical expertise)
- Be adaptable
- Prioritize continuous learning and collaboration

What do you think?

PART 6 MISNOMER
Communications Consultants vs Communication Officers

Now here we are ~
- Role confusion between consultants and officers
- Overlapping skills required for both roles
- Evolving expectations for strategic insights and results

PART 5 MISNOMER
Communications Consultants vs Communication Officers

Maybe today, in the working landscape, the distinction between a Comms Consultant and a Comms Officer has become blurred, making the terms somewhat misleading.

This shift challenges the traditional understanding of these roles.
