Fandom needs interaction to thrive, if u want to keep enjoying art, fic, edits, animations, silly little hcs, and all of that gud stuff, give some of the love back that creators pour out for you, fandom shouldn't be /content/ to mindlessly consume, let it be a dialogue of love and appreciation 🙏✨❤️
I think a big fandom shift in interacting with stuff has gone from people commenting under the created thing whether it be fic or art to people linking it in private discord groups where the person who made it will never see any positive comments left on the thing they made.

Omg I've been saying this about kpop for literally years. The people who get mad about rpf are the same people who post wild fantasies as factual while tagging official accounts because "omg I'm so worried" or whatever. Ughhhhhh.
my controversial opinion on rpf is that rpf is the part of celebrity fandoms i actually have less ethical qualms about because it’s framed as fictional. the posting in the belief that instead of fantasies these are truths about these people that you are just correctly perceiving is more worrisome
