Reform have just announced that their Scottish leader will be former Tory peer Lord Offord.

He has changed the colour of his rosette to get a seat in the Scottish Parliament.

Scotland deserves so much better than Tory turncoats who seek to divide our communities.

It will be paid for by taxes on private jets, shooting estates, and million pound homes.

The Scottish Green proposals were accepted by the Scottish Government and announced in today's budget.

@scottishgreens.org tax proposals:

✈️ A new tax on the 12,000 private jet flights taken in Scotland every year

🏰 A 'Mansion Tax' on £1 million+ homes

This will raise millions for services like schools and our NHS.

Less than four month til the election and Labour have so little to say they’re going to wave through the budget without trying to make it better, and *without having even seen it* 🤯

What even is the point of Scottish Labour at this stage?

Reform are driving hate and division in our communities.

We can't allow that to happen.

Life has become much harder for many folks across Scotland.

But the scapegoating and false promises from a millionaire-backed party will change nothing for the better.

🟢 Free bus travel for under 30s
🟢 Expand free school meals
🟢 Childcare free from three

These are the kind of changes we need in next week's budget if we're to reduce the cost of living and give young people the best start in life.

Greens are demanding that next year’s Scottish Budget properly funds Councils to provide funded childcare hours from the Monday after a child turns three.

This is a simple fix that will save young families money and support local services.

This is an incredibly weak response from the EU, and a dangerous position to take.

Maduro's legitimacy is not the issue at hand. The US is acting as a rogue state, and will embolden other states to use unchecked military power for their own ends.

We need international law, not gangsterism.
I have spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and our Ambassador in Caracas. The EU is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela.

The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition. (1/2)

The unprovoked and deadly invasion of another country while its citizens sleep should appal all of us.

The fact that Venezuela has some of the world’s largest oil reserves makes this feel very familiar.

If Mexico, who border the mad colossus that is the United States, can unequivocally condemn this as an action of aggression then the EU, sheltered by the Atlantic, can do the same and not offer this subservient drivel.
Following very closely the situation in Venezuela.

We stand by the people of Venezuela and support a peaceful and democratic transition.

Any solution must respect international law and the UN Charter.
