haha, i hear you. it‘s got about 90 good movies though. 🙂
If this list contains no Cronenberg, Iñárritu, or Garland there’s no way I can even be arsed reading it

Hey cineasts, which Y2K+ top 100 movies are you missing? I'd have included Annihilation (+maybe Ex machina), Leave No Trace (+maybe Winter's Bone), The Wrestler, History of Violence (no Cronenberg), The Revenant (no Iñárritu), Gran Torino (no Eastwood)... Your snubs?

Netflix removes Bandersnatch. Pretty lame decision and shows the problems with archiving proprietary media formats. I have no idea how Netflix‘s „Interactive Specials“ worked, but the system should be easy enough to port to PC, right? chng.it/NpzVPSWF9r

Played a bit of Blue Prince over the weekend. Excellent puzzle game. Got lucky to make it to room 46 on day 12 and happy that a lot of mysteries remain unsolved.

Got no shortage of coffee table books, but couldn’t resist this Cheis Foss anthology. Don’t let the fascboys hijack your space dreams.

YouTube is such a perfect example of how technofeudalism works: Sink billions into outpricing the competition, once the market is destroyed make your ‚free‘ service unusable and charge what you want for ‚premium‘. Hello Rivermind.

Just checking out the short films of Sabin Bălașa, Romanian painter and animator, from the 60s/70s. Pretty trippy stuff. Slight touch of Fantastic Realism, but the live painting technique is awesome. youtu.be/9CEsoEfzKfI

In 1961 the Belgian government and the CIA conspired to kill the Congo‘s first prime minister, Patrice Lumumba. „Soundtrack to a Coup d‘Etat“ is an excellent free-form documentary about the events in the context of colonialism, cold war, and Jazz. (for free on arte) youtu.be/BmgdE9cVfDM

Played a fair bit of Citizen Sleeper 2. It's a good expansion of the (fantastic) original, but to me it feels a little too gamey for a visual novel and not gamey enough for a space trading sim. Still rooting for a third part though. And if you haven't played Citizen Sleeper 1, you should!

Earth sure starts to feel like Philip K Dick‘s ‚Clans Of The Alphane Moon‘, where a planet is ruled by a clinically insane council of paranoiacs, maniacs, and schizophrenics.
