i know i've been pretty quiet but here's the result of my January: a totally handmade, fully-functional marionette created for a local winter-themed puppet show. she's called the Winter Maw & she'll eat you alive, just like real winter
a handmade marionette monster photographed in front of a snowbank. it has long arms with branch-like hands, a long neck with a false human face & a lower jaw like a sperm whale, & is dressed in all white/off-white lace & rags with pearl accents. watermark says "Ezra Rose" a close up of the face of the marionette with its open jaw & teeth visible below.

now that 1.0's been out for a bit, wanted to share some of my contributions to Hades II!

had the pleasure to work with the team for the past few years - not comprehensive at all but here's a small sampler of icons and small illustrations that can be found across the game
A select collection of keepsake, Charon, and alchemic inventory item icons from the game, Hades II. (I did all of the keepsake and most of the inventory item icons in the game.) A select collection of boon ability icons from the game, Hades II. (I did all of the boon icons between the gods and the NPCs in the game.) A select collection of location and vow icons from the game, Hades II. (Did a bunch of miscellaneous icons around the game, including all the vow icons and other visual flourishes.) A select collection of weapon, controller, status, and other miscellaneous icons from the game, Hades II. (Immense respect for custom controller icons in games now, there's so many to cover.)

I’m currently in the process of trying to prepare for my upcoming top surgery! I’ve had chronic rib pain for years that has been debilitating at times, so this means that I’ll finally be able to stop wearing binders and compression tops and feel comfortable in public without further risking my health. Finding a surgeon within my state that took my insurance was a huge positive, and confirming a date for the procedure was, too! I’ve felt more hopeful about things than I have in a long time! Text: But the reality is that this surgery is gonna have me incapacitated for a while. I work from home, my main focus being jewelry and small repairs, and I'm not sure how well or when I'll be able to get back to that with the movement restrictions I’ll have. This leaves the majority of daily tasks to my fiancé, on top of her already working multiple jobs and pursuing her own creative endeavours. We need to continue giving our IBD kitty the specific food, supplements, and probiotics that he needs to stay healthy as well. The hospital that my surgeon works out of is around 2 hours away from where we live, so gas and travel money for multiple visits and follow-ups is another concern. Text: Expenses in the winter months hit far harder than I expected, and I’ve landed in a really difficult place. What I thought I would have saved up by now is entirely nonexistent, and to be fully transparent, I’ve been struggling for quite some time now. Anything and everything helps, and I’d be so thankful for any contribution. I'll post links in this thread to me and my fiance's shops as well.
