Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

It will look different by the 10th anniversary. Trump will be dead or in jail and the presidential equivalent of what Marino Faliero was to the Doges of Venice (damnatio memoriae), and the record will be set straight. He’ll probably be retrospectively cut out of Home Alone 2 too.

My current read and my next read. I’m actually quite pleased that I’m not quite going to finish the Postscript Murders before going back to work - the title of the O’Brian might have been a bit too “on the nose” for the Monday morning after a restful Xmas break!

Talk about Princess and the Pea! He spent ages scrabbling around under the cushion and doing his best to destroy it. It transpires that this bit of manky old white tack was causing him discomfort - as soon as I removed it he went back to what I describe as his “reclining Napoleon” pose!

If Jimmy Stewart is getting a biopic surely John Wayne should get one too. Opening scene - learning the walk and talk from Wyatt Earp. End scene - pushing Tony Robinson into the Thames. That’s quite the arc.

Nicolas Cage would be a terrible Eleanor of Aquitaine!
Watching Lion In Winter again, and it hits me:

Katharine Hepburn was the Nicolas Cage of her generation.

Having a cat is so cool. There is a little creature in my bed who loves me and vibrates like a tiny motorcycle and is so fuzzy and wants to snuggle. How could I want anything else

Wisely in the bank
Safe and sound
Soon that tuppence,
Safely invested in the bank,
Will compound
And you'll achieve that sense of conquest
As your affluence expands
In the hands of the directors
Who invest as propriety demands”
