Grandad, Notts fan, leftie. I do try to be nice on social media but don’t always succeed.
Looks like the GKs he had in training with us this week fell short of the standards set by Kelle Roos. It’s a high bar mind you.

Palmer out for ‘quite a period’. In Notts injury speak that could mean rest of the season.
‘Knock in training’ = 4-6 weeks
‘Niggle’ = 6-8 weeks
‘Troublesome strain’ = 8-10 weeks
‘Muscle pull’ = 10-12 weeks
‘Out for the foreseeable future’ = funeral at Wilford Hill next week.
Mid table beckons.

Dear fellow Notts fans?
If you think a change of keeper will transform us into a top 3 team, you’re wrong. It’s really not that simple. Don’t make Roos the fall guy.

Fun fact:
A young Dan Burn made a sub appearance for Darlington against Notts in our 5-0 win to secure the L2 title in April 2010.

In an act of extreme sado-masochism, watched it again. The only thing I’d add to earlier comments is that yes, we were poor but in the added 6 minutes, at 2-1 up the EFL team had enough of the ball to see the game out and failed to do so by repeatedly giving it away to our NL opponents.

Lots to concern us about that defeat but as the saying goes, ‘it all starts with the goalkeeper’ so basically until we secure a competent replacement, we’re screwed. Roos is awful, truly awful.

Ness excellent.
Jatta good apart from the pen.
Macari, Bedeau ok.
Thats about it.
Got what they deserved, but according to their manager it was mainly down to their lord and saviour Jesus Christ so we were up against it from the start.
Goalkeeper remains the number 1 priority in January.

Struggling to remember a more outstanding goalkeeping performance than that. Kelle Roos MOM. Well deserved.

After 1 point from 6 league games and publicly slagging off his senior players, self-proclaimed football genius Matt Saunders has ‘resigned’ at Bracknell Town. Definitely a bit of a nob that bloke.

Rushcliffe Rovers fans:
We hate VAR
VAR costs us 10 points a season
VAR has a vendetta against us
VAR needs putting in the bin
VAR is an anti-Forest conspiracy
We always come off worse from VAR

. . . . We love VAR.

Ollie Palmer playing CF for Swindon whilst also reffing the game. He will win them a penalty. Absolutely guaranteed.

‘Hubris’
Isn’t that a word originating in Greek mythology?

HT verdict. Griffiths done ok. Back 3 looks shaky but thrown together so to be expected. Some decent work by Robbo, odd flashes from Jarvis, Grant and Hall. Hinchy and Bennetts poor. Traore continues to look woefully short, especially against a physical outfit like Lincoln.

Read on ‘the other side’ our team described as disgusting and diabolical’. It definitely wasn’t. Lacking creative input certainly but after a pretty dismal first half, I thought we were the better team. Needed a break in the box and didn’t get it. Cotter isn’t a footballer. Jones isn’t a No.10.

Marinakis complains that the Community Shield should be awarded to Forest not Palace because their keeper Dean Henderson played at the City Ground a couple of years ago.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Bulwell there’s a bloke in his shed searching for a tin of paint and some old bedsheets.

MGW signs a new 3 year deal with our West Bridgford chums, presumably with a massive pay rise. Turns out the badge kissing was a genuine expression of his love for NFFC and he never wanted to leave the WFCG after all. Him and his agent have played a blinder here. Football eh? What a snake pit it is

Reckon Jatta’s agent has probably used up his monthly mobile allowance today.

Guessing I’m in a tiny minority of fans who’s wishing MP all the best and willing to give him the chance to prove the doubters wrong. If he gets off to a bad start things will turn ugly very quickly. Yes, I’m finding it underwhelming too but ‘fans’ of the ‘sending my ST back’ ilk can do one.

Hinshelwood now shortened to 11/10. Other contenders’ odds significantly lengthened. What to make of this?
A. Hinshelwood’s appointment imminent
B. Someone’s put ten bob each way on Hinshelwood
C. Someone who we’ve never heard of is about to be appointed. #Notts

Petty, thin-skinned and embarrassing. There’s a Trump style cult developing over at the City Ground.
