#StrangerThings ending was really emotional for me. Sure, I watch other series, but this one was an investment. It’s the first show I’ve watched since when we all used to tune in weekly that I CARED about. I had thoughts about a few unnecessary monologues, but otherwise, I loved the adventure 🗡️

Post-#StrangerThings, I hope more steaming networks take chances on weird stuff. This series and #SquidGame took many rejections before being picked up and let’s be honest … especially with #AI in the mix, we need to get more completely insane creative content going. It’s what the people want!

When you’re nearing forty, life becomes all about numbers. 25 (minimum) more years of work. 12 years since I have considered myself part of the art scene. Ten or so years left to still be relevant enough to publish this novel of mine. Three nights of nightmares. One lost mind. Maybe I’m just tired.

Why can’t we live in a place where differences are celebrated and people are welcome? This makes me so sad and angry. I am agnostic, so there isn’t one path in my mind to “being good,” but I can’t help believing passionately that this isn’t it!

I feel like I’m doing ok on Bluesky (as opposed to Meta, etc.) because I don’t actually care at all if anyone engages with me. I spent a lot of years chasing metrics and I’m over that now.
