I don’t know how common they are, but this is the first time I’ve come across a vending machine selling food and drink made from insects in Tokyo. Even if I wasn’t vegan, I think I would pass.

Guy Pearce is outstanding as Scrooge in the bold 2019 BBC retelling of A Christmas Carol. It cuts to the core of the story. If it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, it has served Dickens' message better than any other adaptation.

We spent the afternoon watching all 3 of the 28...Later films. Days was ok, but borrowed heavily from Day of the Triffids. Weeks' script was laughable. Years' attempt at being profound was a bore. Bring on the next one!
