The SpainSat-NG II satellite, which was launched on an expendable Falcon 9 last year, has been hit by a "space particle" at an altitude of ~50,000km while raising its orbit to GEO. The extend of the damage, and the impact on the performance, is currently unknown.

The SLS rocket for Artemis II is set to roll to LC-39B in less then 2 weeks! At the pad, NASA will be performing a series of tests, after which they'll directly move into launch operations without returning to the VAB. The window for Artemis II opens NET Feb. 7th at ~02:45 UTC.

Well that's some great news to end the year on! ULA has started stacking the next Vulcan rocket for their next NSSL mission! This will be USSF-87, which will deploy the GSSAP 7 & 8 satellites (and potentially other payloads as well) directly into GEO.

Having just launched their latest mission, preparations for India's next launch, PSLV-C62, are in full swing. According to regional reports, the EOS-N1/Anvesha satellite arrived a few days ago, and integration of the 4 stages has been completed. Launch is NET Jan 10 at 04:15 UTC.

For the 166th and final time in 2025, SpaceX' Falcon 9 rocket is vertical for launch, which is scheduled for NET 02:09:19 UTC. Encapsulated inside of the payload fairing is the CSG-3 SAR-satellite for the Italian Space Agency and Ministry of Defence.

Initial analysis from JAXA suggests the failure started at fairing separation, with abnormal accelerations measured on the payload adapter. Onboard camera's show heavy damage to the QZS-5 satellite, and it looks like they might have even lost the whole satellite at some point.

ISRO successfully launched the LVM3-M6 mission with AST's 1st BlueBird Block 2 satellite last night! With a 223m² antenna, Block 2 is 3.4 times larger then Block 1. The next Block 2 satellite has already arrived at the launchsite for a Falcon 9 or New Glenn launch early next year.

Space Force just released an "analyst elset" with catalog 85420 for an object in a 109 x 441 km x 30.1 deg orbit that's consistent with the Tanegashima launch.

Japan's H3-F8 launch with QZS-5 unfortunately failed. During the ascent, pressure in the second stage LH2 tank was dropping (possibly due to a leak), which resulted in a late SECO and failed second burn. At this point it's unclear whether second stage/satellite is orbital www.jaxa.jp/press/2025/1...

Rocket Lab successfully launched their "The Wisdom God Guides" mission with iQPS' QPS-SAR-15 satellite named "SUKUNAMI-I" earlier today. This was their 21st and final launch of the year, breaking their previous launch record of 16 by more then 30%!

According to Rocket Lab's Launch Safety page, they have yet another launch coming up in a few days! This mission is named "The Wisdom God Guides", and is scheduled for NET December 21st at 06:12 UTC. The mission name suggests the payload will be QPS-SAR-15 for iQPS.

ISRO has confirmed that the launch of LVM3-M6 with AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird Block 2 FM1 (BlueBird 6) satellite is officially scheduled for NET December 24th at 03:24 UTC! The rocket has already been rolled out to the Second Launch Pad.

Arianespace successfully launched the Galileo L14 mission with Ariane 6! This was the 4th and final Ariane 6 launch of the year. Next year, Arianespace is targeting up to 8 Ariane 6 launches, with their next being Amazon Leo LE-01 aboard the 1st Ariane 64 NET Early-2026.

Now, nearing the drop-off point, the Ariane 6 upper stage will fire its Vinci engine for the second and final time on this mission – a shorter boost lasting just under two minutes.

SAT 33 and SAT 34 Galileo satellites are now experiencing what space feels like for the first time, as Ariane 6's fairing was released.

The upper and core stages of the rocket remain connected to the satellites as the rocket keeps moving forward.
