Vincent is much larger than shown in canon, closer to Galian Beast's height, leaned over with his arms behind his back to speak to Cloud, eyes half-lidded with a slightly sultry expression. Cloud is holding onto the leash at Vincent's collar with both hands as if pulling him down closer to Cloud's own level, looking up at Vincent with wide eyes, his face extremely flushed and entire body slightly sweaty while what appears to be steam rises from him in the background. Genesis Rhapsodos and Sephiroth sitting on the floor against a bright, warm background, light seemingly cast against a wall behind them through a paned window. Both are shirtless, Genesis wearing black sweats and Sephiroth wearing red athletic pants and black socks, both of which appear to be slightly undersized for his frame, presumably borrowed from Genesis. Genesis sits cross-legged behind Sephiroth in order to carefully brush Sephiroth's wing, which is fully extended across the left side of the frame and covers up most of Genesis' body. Genesis is clearly comfortable and simply focused on the task, a broad grooming brush in one hand and an impressive scattering of black feathers in various sizes on the floor just in front of him, directly below Sephiroth's wing. Framed as a candid photo, Aerith Gainsborough and Cid Highwind stand close in the foreground, out of focus and barely in frame; a light abrasions is visible on Aerith's chin, and a minor cut over her nose, but she's smiling and turned to the right to chat with Cid. Cid holds a length of red fabric—Vincent's cloak—over his shoulder, has his mouth open and head tilted slightly upward, clearly grousing about something. Much further back in the shot, in focus between the two, a slightly beat-up Cloud Strife carries an equally injured and undeniably unconscious Vincent Valentine over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Vincent is missing his cloak and headband, bent double with his hips balanced on Cloud's shoulder, long hair falling loose to completely obscure his head. His arms hang limply to the level of Cloud's knees, and Cloud grips Vincent's long legs with both hands as he carries him away. Though viewed in profile, Cloud's eye is turned toward the viewer.

Over 16k words into chapter 8 of RTGT and I'm still not done. Shipping #strifentine is suffering.

A simple thing, like living together. There was no circumstance in which it could ever mean what Vincent wanted, but it did mean something.
