Wake Up Dead Man is the best Knives Out yet. Beautiful, fascinating, mysterious, and so, so funny.

Just really loved how much it gets into the weeds on faith and modern society all while being insanely entertaining and everything above. Rian is firing on all cylinders.

OMFG Vince Gilligan you’re a mad man and I love you.

Did a bit of service journalism today to let Comic-Con fans know that the Comic-Con hotel process has changed for next year, and it's not great.
Going to San Diego Comic-Con Just Became Even More of a Nightmare
If you thought it was difficult planning a trip to Comic-Con before, things just got even more apocalyptic.

Months ago, I heard that Regal Robot was releasing a prop replica of Toht's hanger from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I was pumped.

Later, the founder of the company contacted me about maybe doing an article, and I had just the idea.

Now, here's my piece on the creation of this insane prop replica.
The Story Behind the Funniest 'Indiana Jones' Prop Replica You've Ever Seen
Idols? Whips? Fedora? No way. Regal Robot has made an iconic 'Indiana Jones' clothes hanger.

What an incredible game, series, season.

Feel terrible for the Blue Jays who were incredible but to be the best you gotta beat the best. And they almost got there. Two games to win and home and couldn’t do it.

Congrats to my city. That was awesome.

I love this so, so much.

Game 7, tight game, heroics on offense and defense. Forced extra inning. Neither one is my team so I can breathe.

This is seriously what it’s all about.

Last night, I saw Back to the Future in 4DX.

And it was AWESOME.
'Back to the Future' in 4DX Is a Truly Hilarious, Additive Experience
The classic Robert Zemeckis film is back in theaters this weekend, and if you can, see the 4DX version.

#PredatorBadlands is so much fun. A grand adventure with inventive, exciting action, cool world building, lots of heart & all Predator goodies you could want. It takes the franchise in a whole new way that some may be mad at, but worked perfectly for me. Can’t wait to see again.

I wish all Marvel fans were as locked into Nate Moore (producer of Black Panther 1-2, Captain America 2-4, Eternals, etc.) progressing on Survivor this season as I am.

Earlier today, the Star Wars YouTube channel posted the Ben Solo and Rey vs. Palpatine clip from The Rise of Skywalker.

WTF ARE THEY DOING?!?!?!

Here I am asking the tough questions.
If We Can’t Get a Ben Solo Movie, Can We at Least Get His Action Figure?
The scrapping of the Adam Driver-Steven Soderbergh 'Star Wars' movie isn't the only place Ben Solo has been wronged.

Here's hoping Adam Driver almost certainly violating a massive NDA to talk about the Ben Solo/Steven Soderburgh movie is the Star Wars equivalent to the Ryan Reynolds/Deadpool footage leak.

I knew I was going to like Springsteen: Deliver Us From Nowhere when he puts on the radio and hears an ad for Action Park. Jayne and I both cheered. A perfect cinematic moment.

Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh were going to team up to make a Kylo Ren/Ben Solo movie written by Scott Z Burns.

Lucasfilm loved it. Disney executives killed it.

Yorgos Lanthimos films are sometimes a little too weird (in the best possible way) but #Bugonia is weird in all the right ways.

It’s intense, mysterious, relevant, & fantastic. Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are incredible in a movie that keeps you guessing till the very end. Love love loved it!

I guess I can now finally share this awesome #TronAres collectible I own.

This is the ID badge they gave us on set, meant to be for the in-world convention you briefly see in the movie. I’d hoped it would be more crucial to the plot but alas, I still think it’s a great memento.

I feel so lucky we get to see a master bring his ultimate vision to life.

@realgdt.bsky.social’s Frankenstein is such a beautiful, complex, rich film. It flipped me back and forth with its themes, performances, and heartbreaking violence.

So glad I saw it at The Egyptian too.

A bunch of wild inside baseball stuff aside, I am finally seeing my most anticipated film of 2025, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein!

And no, I wasn’t waiting for Netflix. 35mm at the Egyptian FTW!

As recently as last week, I was writing about the brilliance and impact of the art of Drew Struzan. Today, we learn he's passed. I'm gutted.

His artistic genius and inspirational images will truly be appreciated forever. May we continue to treasure his work & the man who made it. Thank you, Drew.

Spoke to Jesse Wigutow, the credited writer of #TronAres, about the 15 YEARS it took to get made.

He also worked on Legacy and the shelved Ascension, so he had lots to say about all of it.

We also dive into some Ares spoiler stuff if you've seen the movie yet, but if not, it's clearly marked.

Here's my full review of #TronAres, which I was mixed on but, more than not, enjoyed.

It has a very familiar, non-challenging Disney movie feel that also happens to be Tron.
'Tron: Ares' Is 'Tron' at Its Most Disney
Jared Leto and Greta Lee star in the sequel to 'Tron: Legacy', which opens October 10.

Five years ago I wrote an article about the then 10 year wait between Tron Legacy and its sequel. It was partly meant to be a joke: gizmodo.com/a-brief-hist...

Five years after that, #TronAres is finally happening. Only been 15 years since the last one (and 43 years since the original.)

Spoke to Brian Henson today about next week's Dark Crystal Fathom event and casually teased that while Age of Resistance is probably over, there is more Dark Crystal in the works.

Maybe even on the big screen.
The World of 'Dark Crystal' May Not Be as Finished as We Thought
