Microsoft's next Agent mode should pair a riffing AI for architecture with a working agent that turns agreed templates into code. Let users design with one and build with the other. A hybrid model would transform developer workflows.

I just published a major refactoring of the FluentUI.Blazor.Monaco.EditorPack solution to Github. I greatly simplified the setup by creating a Javascript loader script to load the various Javascript files required by the editors.

Last week I posted about my Markdown and CSS editors for FluentUI-Blazor. I've opened sourced the project and created a nuget package - which is in preview. If you clone the GitHub repo - buff.ly/ZGQFwUX , there's a demo app so you can play around with the editors. Enjoy!

I've wanted to build Markdown and CSS editors for my FluentUI-Blazor based apps for a long time. I finally got around to it this week. Both editors are built on top of Monaco. The CSS editor is aware of the FluentUI-Blazor design tokens.

Hey @Microsoft,
Why do you insist on silently uninstalling older Windows SDKs from my dev box when I upgrade versions of VS? This has happened multiple times to me the past 18 months. You obviously have no clue how I use your SDKs. STOP IT. The arrogance is indefensible.

I got tripped up trying to publish a newly updated AZ function app to Azure this past week. This particular app started life on .NET Core 2.2. I was moving from .NET7 dotnet-isolated to .NET8 and the app would not start, failing with a less than helpful error message:

I've been hiking to the top of Pilot Butte with a friend once a week for almost a year now and realized I've not taken a picture to share. Here are several peaks in the distance - Bachelor, Broken Top and the Three Sisters

I saw the Wood Brothers in concert last night. Such good musicians! I was really impressed with Chris Wood's bass playing but Jano Rix playing drums and keys at the same time - mind blown. Oliver Wood was awesome too! Highly recommend seeing them live if you can.

Feeling kind of melancholy today. This song by Vic Chestnutt has been playing in my head for a couple of days now.

As part of the weekend clean up, I also found this picture of the VW Bus the LaBrea Stompers toured in for a while. I can't tell you how many long, hot or long, cold hours we spent touring in this van, but it was a lot!

Over the holiday break, I started working on a mobile app that I've wanted to create for a long time. My family suffers from food allergies. I'm allergic to corn and my wife and daughter are allergic to soy.

I just spent too many hours debugging a rendering issue with a #dotnetmaui CollectionView. In my ItemTemplate, I mistyped one of the x:StaticResource color names for AppThemeBinding. With a debugger attached, the items in the CollectionView where properly rendered.

The 7v7 COED soccer team I captain, Stalking Horse won our league final last night 4-3. This is a huge achievement considering that we lost every game we played our first season just four years ago. Super proud of every one of the team - past and present.

I made chicken gyoza for dinner tonight. I added apples and celery to freshly ground chicken thighs in addition to garlic and ginger. I made a dipping sauce with freshly squeezed lime juice, rice vinegar and soy sauce with a little sugar. My nine year old who is a picky eater, loved them.

@scott.hanselman.com & @microsoft.com - any chance that Microsoft will open source appcenter.ms since it will be retried on 3/31/2025? Being able to host a private app store is really nice and deprecating appcenter.ms is going to be painful for several of my customers. Thanks!
