More @cnn.com stupidity: Ahmed al-Sharaa is not the first former terrorist to visit the White House. Menachem Begin visited in 1977, 1978, 1981 and 1982. Shamir visited in 1987 and 1989. Gerry Adams visited in 1994.

Looking for Randy Fine's house (which is on our road in Melbourne Beach) I discovered that 'Pizza Hut House', ⅓ mile away, (you have to see it) belongs to Vanilla Ice. Expensive and tasteless; it seems just right for him.

Fine has hidden his address, although he himself doxes political opponents.

@cnn.com just outdid itself. It gave the usual softball interview to a GOP bigot, Congressman Randy File, who has celebrated IDF murders of US citizens, is virulently Islamophobic (and hates the Irish), and has been corrupt since his days on Harvard student government.

The economy of which city in the US is most dependent on air travel? And would be most impacted by the shutdown?

Would it be Las Vegas?

Wonder why among the 8 who caved on the shutdown were 2 senators from Nevada?

Democratic spinelessness in the face of Republican evil is the one constant of US politics. Everything else is rage-bait for rubes.

If I have to read any more crap about Watson and Crick (1953) I swear I’ll shoot myself.

No, Watson did not discover DNA. He did figure out the structure; far more than that it was helical, which was widely known, but the significance of base complementarity and how it could convey information(1/2)

Just wrote to the lead counsel in Orr v Trump, with details of my cousin, named Allen Harbison at birth in 1858, who transitioned to Aleen, sometime around 1880, became a lady's maid, and applied for (and was apparently issued) a US passport in 1915, as a woman. This is not a modern practice.

Second-day postmortems after an election are usually along the lines of "it wasn't quite as bad for the Republicans as it first appeared".

Happy to see that this time, they're more "Yesterday it looked bad for the Republicans. In fact, it was worse than we thought".

Hey, voters of Florida's 8th congressional district! Should our Republican congressman, Mike Haridopoulos, get free health insurance and a salary, when he hasn't worked a day since October 1? Bill Ackman gave a pro-Cuomo group $1.75m; Michael Bloomberg donated a staggering $8.3m to the same Pac. The Lauder family backed pro-Cuomo and anti-Mamdani organizations to the tune of $2.6m, while the Tisch family gave $1.2m to stop the young socialist.
