A fallen Acer leaf lies across wet sandstone paving. The leaf is partially raised off the sandstone and is brighter than its surrounds. The sandstone is out of focus at the bottom and top of the image and a ridge in the sandston starts out of focus in the middle of the bottom edge of the image, as it comes into focus it leads the eye to leaf stalk before fading out of focus towards the top of the image.
