We developed a PBK model for BPA analogues with a multimodal parameterization approach.
👉 yes we can! (predict biokinetics without in vivo data)
👉 analogues reach much higher internal concentrations than BPA

Huge news, as #BPA will be completely banned from food contact materials in Europe. I can already think of some BPA alternatives that should come next. :-)

Check out our new pre-print (submitted to EHP)! We developed PBTK models to predict ADME of six data-poor #BPA analogues in distinct population groups. Spoiler alert: they behave quite differently. A strong argument against read-across and considering replacement BPs "similar" to BPA in toxicity.
