Apparently, it would cost more than £600 for the Scottish Government to gather some emails about their involvement in securing frigate work. Instead of narrowing the request, they rejected it outright on cost grounds—now I’ve had to submit three separate FOIs. Efficient? Nah.

Do you ever have one of those days? Like forgetting obvious steps before publishing, doing Y before X when and no doubt annoying someone? Days like this make me wonder how I ended up here—trained in cyber security, not journalism—and yet, here I am, imposter syndrome is real.
