On this #WorldHumanitarianDay, we demand action for humanitarians. We condemn the failure to protect them and those they serve. We remember those we’ve lost and say: end impunity. #ActforHumanity
The normalization of violence against humanitarian workers and lack of accountability must end. Humanitarian personnel, assets and space to operate must be protected. Attacks on them must stop.
Every day, humanitarian workers risk their lives to support people in need, often in the most dangerous conditions.
This #WorldHumanitarianDay, we call on Member States to #ActForHumanity and ensure their protection.
Remember that humanitarians are #NotATarget!
