I say we rename Columbus day after Amerigo Vespucci.

Major historical events really do love to happen in September.
I doubt much of yesterday will be remembered by history. Even if many act as much of it will, and some of it defiantly should. But today's date, September 11, will continue to be remembered. Because in a way, that day is still to blame.

To me its quite clear what the purpose of Russia's strike on Poland last night was. It's just another step in getting the west used to Russian escalation, and test our willingness to respond. This seems like it was purposefully designed to have people brush off what was an intentional hostile act.

Was brainstorming names for the fascist state in a new Sci-Fi story I'm working on and was having trouble coming up with a name that didn't too unoriginal or tacky. Than I realized unoriginal and tacky is what fascist do, and decided to keep one of the names that way.
