Hoy se cumplen 75 años del inicio del gran torneo de Ámsterdam de 1950 en la bolsa de la ciudad. Este evento duró 4 semanas. Finalmente, Najdorf se alzó con la victoria, seguido de Reshevsky (2.º) y Ståhlberg (3.º).
