I happened to donate Saturday, so I can't do so again for 2 weeks. Please plan ahead and book your donation in the days and weeks ahead!
NSW: blood donor centres are at capacity and supplies have been depleted. Lifeblood are looking for donations over many weeks so they replenish, and bookings so they can plan for it.

authors you have the chance to do the funniest thing right now
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action

What a thought provoking example of the state of individual vs corporate contributions to open source in the current “state of things”

Individuals are funding significantly more than the companies that profit from FOSS are. 🤔
We're blown away- the PSF received an anonymous $100k donation 🤯🥰 Thank you, anon, for your investment in #Python, its community, and the PSF. We are deeply grateful and committed to using every dollar to make a difference.

It's *REALLY IMPORTANT* that you show this to your comms teams, marketing teams and leadership teams, because many of them are still using Twitter.

The only way to stop it progressing further (and with that stupid pet Nazi robot) is to ditch it. Starve it of oxygen.

People / orgs need to leave it.

I wrote a post going behind the scenes on selecting our city, venue and dates for @pyconau.bsky.social 2026.
It's the first in what I hope will be a series of more informal, long form essays sharing how we think about certain problems, tasks and challenges.
