RIP Pearly.

Much loved and will be missed. Passed quietly in her sleep this morning.

So, bad health day, so I decided to stop doomscrolling and read a real book, an actual physical book. I picked one, looked at it, saw the first page and my brain went. 'Oh God, there's a map. I can't cope with that.'

Now I'm just going to bed.

In London on Wedesday, I went to 5 Waterstones, including the flagship store, and I only brought one book. I also went to two Lego stores, including the flagship one, and I only spent £9.99 on a red panda for my daughter.

Am I getting old?

Gosh, started doom scrolling two hours ago, can't seem to stop.

Palmer and Atkins need help. Send motivation so I can write them, please.

Went to #TheRoebuck tonight. Lovely pub, we go there whenever we come to Richmond, but nearly had a heart attack at the round. A pint and a medium glass of wine £15.10!

Bigger surprise was that the wine was from Kent and it was absolutely lovely. Chapel Down I believe. Recommend pub and wine.

Have just spent the last hour and a half crying over the ending of "Crooked Kingdom" by Leigh Bardugo. That was breathtaking. Hats off to you Ms Bardugo, you did your job so well.

I just got my first sci-fi story published! Something of a deviation for me, it's sci-fi and kind of comedy. If you'd like to see what weirdness I can come up with in space, do check it out.

This book was first published before I was born and for because I was told my writing style was like hers, I never read it. Now I'm reading it and I wish I'd read it years ago, I'm loving it.

Had a fabulous time in Warwick Castle yesterday, but my plimsoll apparently wasn't so happy. I need new shoes.

After nearly melting in the heat so I couldn't concentrate, came outside and sat in evening shade from 8pm, managed to write 4381 words.

A good day.

It's half ten and so far I've written 2371 words, read 30 pages and had a bath. Cat got me up at 04:30 this morning. Time to do some editing, book two of Atkins and Palmer.

Today I am experiencing that stupid feminine dichotomy of caring vs. working. I was caring for my daughter so I shouldn't feel guilty that I got no work done. But I do. Mind I'd feel way worse if I'd worked and not been there for her.

Wow! Just finished "When the Moon Hatched" by Sarah A Parker. Wonderful book and I'm looking forward to the next installment. Also wanted to show the bookmark and thank TE Kinsey for the gift - love it and it works so well with a hardback.

Fabulous day in the campervan. Fresh air, bike ride, read a book, listened to one, and write 2157 words. Am having a great time.

Today's view the writing shed otherwise known as the campervan. It's a lovely day in Pembrey and the bacon is smelling good for brunch.

Just sitting thinking, I'm ridiculously tired, then I saw it's 21:22. I've been up since 04:30. Suddenly not ridiculously tired, just tired.

Night y'all.

Beautiful day outside. So I thought why not take a book out, sit in the sun and enjoy it. Why not? Getting sun burn in 15 mins that's why not. Shoulder hurts now. 😕

So this is me hiding the shadows, enjoying my book. Totally understanding how Raeve feels in the rain.

Today's conversation that say too much.

Context: brought £23 books, £85 clothes

Me: I feel guilty about buying clothes
Hubby: No need
Kid: Oh yeah, it's so bad to replace worn out undies
Me: yeah... (Total £10 on undies)
Hubby: Notice you're not feeling guilty about the books
Me: Hell no!
