his leading role besides being a bomb and very criticized, he was cast exactly bc he was a blank slate. and he only has 5min of screentime in yorgos' movies, as well as in other big movies btw. so i dont think that's the hot take people think it is

besides usual homophobia, one of the big reasons why they don't acknowledge her queerness is due to her public image, which was built on top of her public (straight) relationships, and parasocialism, since her brand was based on proximity to her fans, they can't stand the idea of her lying to them

quite sad that he was forced to come out and that society still treats sexuality as something that needs to be publicly announced rather than simply being seen and acknowledged normally. the way he thanks a fan for seeing him and noticing his queerness in his art says a lot
