After our local Pirate recording-studio-by-the-hour closed last year, I hadn't really bothered with spending time in rehearsal rooms.
Decided to change things up for the new year, and I am happy to report: Music is meant to be loud!

But YMMV, some friends didn't really get along with the interface at all. It will take some mental energy. Try spending time with one if you can!

Depends. For straight-up "I want a creative machine that works", macOS might still be the way to go. It comes with a few idiosyncracies regarding usability that take getting used to, if you're coming from a lifetime of Windows. But for AV work, I've found them both reliable and enjoyable.

Running dual boot's the solution for me. Win10 ESR for DAW stuff, Arch for office work and gaming
macOS is really nice, but the new UI direction is somewhat atrocious. They do make for great one-stop-laptops
