Autumn feels like a great season to stay inside and play a little Everdell. The French Girl won this game but it was still great fun. #tabletopgames #boardgames

Note: we play with pieces and cards from other expansions when we play the base game.

This weekend we broke out Ticket to Ride Japan. A good, competitive map with bullet trains impacting not only how you link cities but score. In fact, it made the difference on who won the game. #boardgame #tabletopgames

For those wondering, the Italy map on the other side is also fun.

Today's boardgaming was Iki. Besides giving well done at work for this period of Japan, it is a fun competitive game even at two players. Multiple ways to get points but you cannot ignore feeding your people or getting fire protection. #boardgames #tabletopgames

I wonder if there is a boardgame company trying to get the right to produce a kpop demon hunter game?

A good day to get Everdell Silverfrost to the table. A very competitive expansion. Fun play between the wife and I, with her winning 119-111. #boardgames #tabletopgames

Playing Ticket to Ride (with 1910 destination cards) felt like a good choice this Labor Day Weekend. What games are hitting your table? #boardgames #tabletopganes

Getting our Feld on today this Castles of Burgundy. A fun, competitive game. Really one of our favorites that he designed. #boardgame #tabletopgames

Setting up for the first play of Everdell Silverfrost. I forgot how challenging this version can be. Good fun. #boardgame #rabletopgames

There is some time that passes between when the designing is done and the game comes out. We were excited to get our copy of Silverfrost today. I'll admit it, I find it cool to see our names on the box. Grateful to the Wilsons for giving us the chance to design with them. #boardgames #tabletopgamrs

July Fourth and both Army and Navy celebrating 250 years this year.. it is a good time to break out 1775. The French Girl always plays the American and French forces and I have yet to win. 🤣 #boardgames #tabletopgames

A rainy day is always good for playing Ticket to Ride with family, the French Girl and her mother(pictured). We really had a tight game in terms of fighting for routes. #boardgames #tabletopgames

We played Ticket to Ride Asia this past weekend. I don't see this board get a lot of attention. For our family the team aspect of the one board worked well -we could pair a less experienced child with an adult and they didn't feel like they were at a disadvantage. #boardgames #tablettopgames

Today we tried Aaron and Claire's recipe for chicken and broccoli. I will skip to the most important comment - it tasted so good. We decided to serve it with fried rice, dumplings, rice noodles and kimchi. And some soju to chase it down.

I highly recommend trying the recipe.

Sometimes you see another person or company highlight a game you own and you think, I need to get that back to the table. Such was the case for Lanterns. So satisfying, Don't pay attention to my sour face - the game wasn't going my way but was fun. Lol #boardgames #tabletopgames

Today's play was Ticket to Ride Africa with the French Girl and her mother. A good tight competition (sadly I came in second). #tabletopgames #boardgames

We brought Luxor back to the table. This Queen Games favorite is always a good time for the family. Easy to set up and get going. Some strategy but not too intimidating for new players. #boardgames #tabletopgames

What a nice surprise to find last week's Book Club newsletter review of Votes for Women made the jump to the Washington Post Sunday edition!

A rainy Sunday is perfect for Ticket to Ride South Korea from Days of Wonder. It plays really well at 2 player and the tweak to scoring gives enough to make you weigh giving up trains you might need later. Plus we look for the cities we see in kdramas. #boardgames #tabletopgames

Today's family gaming was Honga. Nice and easy going game with just enough decision making to keep it challenging, but doesn't overstay it's welcome. I got crushed. #boardgames #tabletopgames

Today we unboxed and played The Red Palace from Queen Games. We have always enjoyed Alhambra and looked forward to playing this version with different rules. We made some scoring mistakes but enjoyed it overall. Definitely will play it more. #tabletopgames #boardgames

I didn't post this earlier when Silverfrost hit kickstarter, but proud and excited to have worked on this solo with the French Girl. #tabletopgames #boardgame

We have been busy play testing lately, which is why there haven't been many game play posts. But we took a break to enjoy the modern classic Ticket to Ride (with 1910 routes). This game is like comfort food for us. Competitive but not too complicated. #boardgames #tabletopgames
