Lots of coverage of CA win in redistricting challenge. It was in response to a deliberately biased TX redistricting. We need more outcry to ban all gerrymandering, not simply celebrate short term win that manipulation is balanced with manipulation. Gerrymandering is bad for democracy.

This was neat: I’m an adoptee - given up by teens who later got married. At 30 I learned I had full-blood siblings. A fmr student of mine ran into my 12 yrs younger birth-bro & said “you remind me of an old prof of mine”. We weren’t raised together. Wild someone picked this up & made a connection.

This was neat: I’m an adoptee - given up by teens who later got married. At 30 I learned I had full-blood siblings. A fmr student of mine ran into my 12 yrs younger birth-bro & said “you remind me of an old prof of mine”. We weren’t raised together. Wild someone picked this up & made a connection.
Just put some habanero-infused seeds in the feeder, which seems to keep the squirrels away, and this brilliant guy stopped by. Cold weather and snow means lots of visitors today. Also couldn’t quite get the pic of the woodpecker that followed the cardinal. Need to build a bird-photo gadget.

Finished latest #knitting project: worsted ribbed watch cap. A few notched stitches but getting better. I’m a newbie and have been knitting super bulky before this, so thinner yarn was new. Also started a sweater class this week. Stay warm! 15°F in Boston as I post this.

Good gravy. Starting around 2am at least 8 trucks & bulldozers arrived on Beacon St near our house and started pushing around snow piles. It’s continued for two hours. Constant beeping and clanging. I have no idea what’s up to requires this days after the snow but it’s impossible to sleep through.
