I had Diego to the vet this morning for vaccinations. It's 15 degrees F out today and was even colder this morning. There was a woman with a bearded dragon sitting across from me in the waiting area who was wearing, I shit you not, FLIP FLOPS. What. The. Fuck.

Today, #Aloka the Peace Dog had knee surgery. Here is the link to the vets who did his surgery explaining what they did. Aloka went through the surgery with no issues and is recovering well. I don't think I'd have survived well if anything happened to him.

Dogs are loving my pillow fort--I have about 7 pillows propping me up so that I can sleep without lying flat. I'm doing better, so thanks to all of you who are asking! Having trouble with meds, but that's another post/rant. I've been to my office two days, but it's been hard.

Diego Dog is glued to me. He doesn't know that it's somewhat painful for me to have him prioritizing space on the bed for himself over my comfort. Pain meds are nauseating me, breathing hurts, and I don't feel like doing anything. I'll be glad to see 2025 in my rearview.

Home from the hospital! That was certainly an adventure. Thank god I posted in our Indivisible Signal chat, because a friend texted me right away asking if she could look after my dogs. That was my biggest worry. Not my physical trauma, the dogs! So glad to be home and my friend did such a good job!

Still in ICU. However, my pain has decreased significantly. I'm hoping I can go to a regular room sometime today.
