Realized I never finished the Seattle/Montana trip, so here’s a pic of me and Royal and the small hoard of sapphires I panned for. A+ would go again.

Yesterday was a lovely preview of spring, but today is another story entirely. It’s dark. Like wicked dark. Like so dark you wouldn’t believe it. Hi Bob.

Day 3 of J&J go west: a quick coffee at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery (more on that later) near the rental car place before hitting the road to Olympia where we met up with @whosharted.bsky.social at Tumwater Falls. We had a great walk around the park before finding food and a yarn shop.

Day 2 of Jess & @jillserenity.bsky.social go west: The breakfast bar (seriously - drinks and tourists, and a moose that isn’t quite sure what just happened) and a ride on the monorail.

I can’t believe it’s been a month already since @jillserenity.bsky.social and I met up in Seattle before heading to Montana for a knit & ski retreat. I keep drafting posts in my head and not posting. So here are some highlights.

Heading off to a new job after 13 years at the old one. I feel like a kid going to a new school.

I’m kind of digging this platform where, once I’ve caught up on things from the people I know/want to follow, I’m done. I can go do something productive instead of falling into a bottomless well of doomscrolling. How refreshing!

Good news! In the past few weeks:

* Thing 1 finished their GED.
* Thing 3 finished the school play as wardrobe person. The show was Frozen Jr - anyone recalls, this is the child that wore an Elsa dress every day of the week. Big feels there.
* I finished a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity.

Joined ages ago, never bothered to set anything up apparently. So uh, hi?
