Good move, but it didn't pass. I'd love to see all Senators (including NM) find a way to convince GOP colleagues that their constituents are going to hurt the most. Time for Ds in Congress to use a new playbook--fast!

What are you and your NM Senate colleague going to do to prevent further damage to SS and other essential agencies? What's the strategy? Tactics?

It is literally your job, and that of all your congressional colleagues, to stop this. Quit stating the obvious (which we know thanks to actual journalists) and start taking effective action to stop the destruction of our country.

We HAVE spoken up, repeatedly. You voted against our interests with Cabinet nominees & failed to stop T&M from dismantling our federal government. Ds need to get serious and ACT to stop this unlawful takeover of the govt or you won't have to worry about reelection cause there won't be another one.

For the love of this country, step down from your "leadership" position and let someone with spine and fire (Murphy or Duckworth, ideally) actually lead the work that needs to be done! Politics as you knew it is dead. You are failing Ds.

We know. What we don't know is what Ds are doing to stop M's unlawful takeover and destruction of our government. Only Congress can stop this. Change House and Senate leadership if needed. This is no time for politics as usual. Rs are losing from this too, so it's your job to show them that.
Opinion | Why DOGE is unconstitutional
Trump is acting extra-constitutionally. Only Congress or the Supreme Court can stop him.

Obviously. But that's not our most critical concern. Stop taking pot shots and address the most dangerous attack on our country: Musk (literally) in the Oval Office. If current Senate leadership can't figure out how to attack effectively, stage a coup and put in new D leadership. Get serious.
February 12, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Next order of business to putting national security first: Get Musk and DOGE out of our government. Get new D leadership in the Senate, if that's necessary.

With all due respect, you cannot operate as if this is political name-calling as usual. The only posts I want to see from any politician are those showing what they are doing to stop this constitutional crisis. I'm done with calls and emails. You know what's needed.

Please! You and your SM staffers are tone deaf. We need you to fight! Blaming the administration may make you feel good, but it doesn’t change what’s happening.

if I understand American politics correctly, progressivism is something that requires 60 senate votes to work, while national conservatism doesn’t require any votes at all
