White people attending these “No Kings” gatherings need to appreciate the fact that Black people are keeping you safe from police, by largely staying in our homes.

My hot take on the state of science fiction is that now that it's taken semi-seriously as a way to comment on society it's been overwhelmed by boring MFA grads who write well but create books nobody is excited by, while the crazy nerds who used to drive the genre are happily off writing fanfic

We’ve made it to eugenics
Under a new Florida law HB1105, disabled kids who aren't eligible for a traditional diploma will now also no longer receive a Certificate of Completion. There will be no formal recognition of their attendance, which will cause problems applying for jobs, vocational programs, college, and more.
