We all do other things these days... but every so often, we can't resist getting together to make that noise again. This three nighter is happening in 2026, and we'll be playing a different set every night. Tickets here:

Excellent review of the Penrose Web album here from Stephen Morris. I don't think we realised we were making a lyrically dark album, but the evidence is all there! Available from Bandcamp now...

The Penrose Web: The Least of Our Concerns - Album Review
The ghosts of Gurney Slade, Reggie Perrin and Stanley Moon inhabit quite a few of the songs on The Penrose Web debut LP.

The path to The Penrose Web started when I stumbled across Ian's Papernut Cambridge albums a few years ago. The original material was great, but the Nutlets covers albums were equally special. Great versions of songs lurking in the slightly darker corners of my childhood memories... tune in tonight!
Nutlets anyone? Listening party 7pm tonight for the 10th anniversary of the first Papernut covers album. Chat, analysis, sleeve notes and merch for sale at 2015 time-warp prices just for the evening. Here is the link to RSVP/join in!

Had a Facebook account since 2010. Suspended for no adequately explained reason on June 3rd. That's the way the Meta bots work. Appealed, but this is the friendly welcome when I log in now. I'm sure this happens to 1000s of people every day. Summary injustice administered by implacable coding.

Well, this is great.
The work of Crockford & Button, suppliers of quality recordings since 1982.
'In Her Darkened Room' , a title that Brian Wilson would have appreciated.
Now on the LSWMB
