Almost two thirds of people in the UK have cut back on essentials due to the cost of living. The crisis isn’t over — it’s getting worse.

Today we're launching the Cost of Living Action campaign, calling on the Government to end this crisis and ensure it never happens again.

Big energy's profits & distribution costs drive up bills.

Small scale energy could cut bills by more directly connecting us to lower cost renewables.

Now government must ensure access is fairly distributed so we all benefit from cheap, locally generated energy.

We need:
1. Funding to fix damaged homes.
2. Independent inspections before money is paid to contractors for all future retrofit work.

Or as Jonathan says, “billions will be wasted, and more homes damaged, due to the lack of skilled workers and poor quality control.”

Today's #Budget doesn't touch the sides when it comes to fuel poverty.

Our energy bills will still be higher than they were at the election, and 50% higher than in 2020.

We pay £400 of our bill on average towards industry profits.

It's simple: clamp down on profits, bring down our bills.

Labour promised a £300 energy bill saving. Instead, our bills are £700 higher than in 2020.
