The only thing to know about the #saveact is that if you haven’t got a passport, now’s the time to get one because they’ll be demanding it at the polling stations this midterms if senate and POTUS sign it through. #uspolitics

For the #bluewave of midterms in the #uspolitics , every dem should run on a platform of “no deal” against the GOP and the administration. No special deals, no soft landings. They get in, they impeach and they rein in #ice and clear house of all the fools and the damage they have done.

Just a thought for the #Democrats for the 2026 midterm elections. Trump knows he’s cooked and he’ll want a way out that saves his skin and his money. He’ll want a deal that won’t see him impeached or prosecuted.

Everyone should campaign “no deal”. It’ll drive him nuts and easy to remember.

You should clean out your garage. You think you don’t need to, but I bet there’s enough miscellaneous stuff there that is taking up space that needs to be sorted, donated or disposed of.

The 5 spiders and surprise water mould I tackled today exhausted me, but that’s it for the next 12 months.

It’s not much, but seeing @sea-ya-later.bsky.social book at my local #parramatta library in #NSW, #Australia was particularly cool.

“How do you know if it’s a Wes Andersen #film?”

“Trust me, he’ll whack your eyeballs with set design and rapid fire dialogue.”

I need help from the #books community. I used to be an avid reader, but my job as a teacher means most of my reading is dense academic texts or student work. I don’t read for myself, and rot my brain with endless scrolling. I want to read a novel a month for 2026. What would you recommend?

Every time I sit down to watch “Everything Everywhere All At Once” with my wife, we both discover new things either about the set design, costume, story beat, or a new emotional catharsis.

The #film will stand the test of time, it’s such a good story with an amazing cast.

The strangest thing about having lived through the 80’, 90’s, 2000’s, 2010’s and now midway through the 2020’s, is that I’ve lived in completely different worlds and communities and culture. I remember a world with little technology: now I am saturated by apps, QR and AI all wanting my attention.

I wonder if Jon Hamm knows he is the poster man for millennials wishing for one more night of their bygone youth on TikTok. #music

I feel old, but I was reflecting on the news. When I was a kid, “breaking news” was for something huge and historically relevant. Now I hear “breaking news” all the time and it has lost all meaning.

@brandontoksmovies.bsky.social loved the video about the Fire Masters. Btw, on Iroh: he knew but kept it secret because he had doubts about his brothers ambitions. Plus, his wisdom only really develops after the death of his son. He was a father first, a respected general second, and brother third.

“Why should we care about a mayoral race?”

It wasn’t just a mayoral race. It was a mayoral race of one of the most influential cities in the world, New York City. It’s a city that shapes the world finance, art, science and policy. From NYC, the world responds.

#Memdani won trust of people & world.

@stjepansejic.bsky.social Curious: kickstarter was a massive success for After Hours (I have my copy and whoo…..that was a fun read).

Have you ever thought to use kickstarter as a way to finish off the unfinished stories?

@jamesgunn.bsky.social Not sure if anyone has said this to you yet.

You’re doing a great job at DC. There are kids, teens and adults who will discover new stories from what you’re doing.

Keep it up.

@brandontoksmovies.bsky.social justice want to say, really enjoying your Avatar TikTok series. You put a lot of effort into editing and research, and it shows. Keep it up, I’m really looking forward to you seeing the end.

Please try, if possible, to avoid spoilers.

Over the last three years, my wife and I have made a proper effort to go and see musicals and plays at theatres, about once every 2 months. It has felt like my soul cup is refilled every time a show ends. There’s something about an audience, a performance, and a sense of community. #musicals

Something to think about. Most people are civil offline. Some are even kind. When you disconnect from devices and seek reconnection with people, the world feels more balanced. More real.

I don’t like or dislike the #military. Every nation has one, and it’s a professional career. I vehemently disagree with war, and think the diplomatic corps should be fully supported for peaceful resolutions.

That all said, man I feel sorry for the US top brass listening to Pete Hesgeth today.

I’m sad that he was killed. I’m seeing people already try to make him someone he wasn’t. You can’t slap saintly paint on a sinner and call it even. He hurt a lot of people with his words. He had a right to say them, but he chose his words. It shouldn’t mean his death for it.

I have a question for #musichistory . Almost all English language singers up until say early 2000’s really used their voice to sing. It was a technical achievement. Now songs kind of sound more spoken word than singing (does that make sense?). What caused that change?

Genuine question: should there be an option to turn AI off from products?

Just from an educational standpoint, AI is persuading students to let Ai provide answers, and that can’t be good for the development of critical thinking. Why think when AI does the work?
