BC is failing its citizens by ignoring the climate chaos we are perpetuating. The gov't needs to draft stronger policies on environment, emissions, jobs, and food sustainability, and punishments for any industry that puts us at risk. @cape-bc.bsky.social @myseatosky.bsky.social @ubcic.bsky.social
Today we launched our 2025 Climate Action Progress Report, evaluating the #BCgov.

The result? 8 failing grades, and 2 grades of minor progress. The worst outcome in 4 years.

BC is approving LNG projects without fully studying the health risks. Physicians are reporting growing health concerns: asthma, heart disease and more.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa, has eliminated gas and oil and replaced it with geothermal and three 5-ton air-to-air heat pumps. The church is now 100% carbon free, with electricity from its rooftop solar panels and its “solar pergola” over the patio.

Climate solutions work!

Thanks to @MPHelenaKonanz for meeting with us earlier in the week. We appreciated her attention and questions. We discussed renewable energy and the advantages of an east-west clean energy grid – jobs, health, affordability, and Canadian sovereignty. We look forward to talking again in the new year.
