I downloaded the Hermitcraft TCG add-on, from the Minecraft marketplace, to play around with. & I think I finally understand TCG lol. I watched the Hermits play, but I've never had a knack for learning without doing, so I didn't get it. And now I freaking love it lol. Plus the quality is so good!

Yesterday, my kid said they needed a Halloween costume. In 24 hrs, we thrifted a zombie costume, ripped/painted it, painted accessories, & I crocheted a brain (pattern: nerdifacts.blogspot.com/2013/06/croc...) & a disembodied hand (no pattern, based it on a picture I saw) phew!

I've had so many works-in-progress lately that it feels good to mostly finish one. I might add some details to this one's jumpsuit or bag, or maybe crochet a cloak, but I'm taking time away from it to see what it needs. #crochet #amigurumi

I love getting handmade gifts ❤️ I feel lucky that someone would spend their time crocheting me this. (It's a lip balm holder, btw.) That's why I like being crafty myself, I want to be able to give smthg I've made; it's like giving them a part of myself.

Got woken up at 5am by some guy taking a hammer to our local Centra. Some commuters scared him off, and the guards caught him trying the same thing down the block at the Mace, lol. I don't even live in the city, man. That's cool, I didn't wanna sleep more than five hours anyway...

14 years ago, I was diagnosed w/ a genetic disorder. At the time, the doc barely understood it, but I've since learned it's a leading genetic cause of autism. & that it runs thru my family, even had a relative institutionalised before I was born. So autism isn't new, the science is what's changing.

Took the kid to the Minecraft Movie, & it was a silly, goofy, welcome distraction. We had a lot of fun; it was especially great b/c it's been awhile since the kid & I could see a movie in the theatre, but we went early for the autism-friendly showings & it worked so well! Inclusivity for the win? :)

I painted some nostalgic scenes for a very special person. And wow, I never want to paint again. I hated it so much. Between the sensory issues & the perfectionism, it's literal torture for me. I spent so many hours on smthg just barely passable in my eyes - nope, never again. Sticking to crochet.

Her curls are so satisfying to play with, idk could be the autism, not sure. I didn't use a pattern for this #amigurumi; just had fun playing with different techniques & elements to create her & her outfit. The curls were such a hit I've been asked to make a dinosaur w/ curly hair now lol. #crochet

I almost never win all the Octordles, but do you see those green checkmarks beside the Daily, Chill, Extreme, Sequence, and Rescue? The Rescue is darn near impossible most days (for me). I got them all today! I'm celebrating the little wins.

I have dual citizenship and over the last years, I've sincerely thought of renouncing one of those. But after the way Zelensky was treated, yeah, I want no more part of the US. And of course the US charges an exorbitant fee to renounce, but it'll be money well spent.

I'm so sick, so I've been crocheting almost nonstop & was able to finish this woodland fairy. I freehanded her body, hair & dress. I used patterns from Megan Lapp's "Crochet Impkins" book for the hat & wings. The illness affected my abilities tho, so she's not perfect obv #amigurumi #crochet
