It used to be that dumb conspiracy theories didn’t have a particular political valence, at least in the aggregate. Further, the institutionalist candidates on offer didn’t drive believers in the daftest rubbish to the polls. Giving all the woo numpties someone to vote for is a disaster for the ages.

The House Republican reconciliation bill will now ban both surgeries and HRT prescription under Medicaid for all Americans.
Earlier, I posted that it wouldn’t affect HRT. This is incorrect.
I was mistaken, because the bill refers to medications for trans people… as “procedures.”

Just noticed TAKE IT DOWN’s takedown provision lacks an exception for commercial porn, unlike its criminal section. That omission seems intentional, enabling removal of porn from the Internet.
It aligns with Project 2025’s plan to restrict porn, broadly defined to include LGBTQ+ and trans content.
