I thought about giving up on this puzzle. I had several days of no progress. Had the idea this evening to put the pieces on the poster to sort them out. Working on the flowers.
Fingers crossed 🤞

I've been on a puzzle kick the last month or two. I went from one puzzle to a shelf. Just thrifted several puzzles and I'm hoping they are as satisfying as the new ones.

I see a discussion re: whether science fiction as a lit genre is dying. My thought about that is no BUT there are two important factors to consider: One, it was/is heavily cis-white-dude coded and that group buys fewer books now; Two, SF thrives with optimism about the future, and, well.

I need you to understand that if you heard a song you liked in the 80s, you couldn’t Shazam it. You couldn’t Google the lyrics. You had to sing it to the guy at Tower Records.

📽️ WATCH: “The U.S. sent us to El Salvador so that El Salvador could do the dirty work that the U.S. couldn’t.”

Hear from Juan José Ramos Ramos, Andry Omar Blanco Bonilla and Wilmer José Vega Sandia — three of 230+ Venezuelan men the Trump administration sent to CECOT — in their own words:

Recently lost my 15 year old cat. I miss her, but with no litter box, I was able to get my front room, aka the map room more usable. Happy with the map placement.

If you find yourself in a situation where you sense someone needs help and you'd like to intervene, Gabriela Mejia, a former training and communications associate with the anti-harassment training organization Right to Be, has some advice.
COMIC: How to intervene when someone is harassed or attacked : Life Kit
What would you do if you saw someone being harassed on the bus or attacked in broad daylight? Most of us would like to think we know how we'd respond, but intervening in dangerous situations is easier said than done. Here's how to step in.

History requires deep, extensive research a lot of that research will end up not being directly relevant. You won't know that until you get in it. Research isn't just pulling a doc with all the answers, it's finding connections, it's understanding what's *not* being said, it's knowing context.

This holds true for events in Minnesota today.

Violence against legislators is a clarion call of weakness.

It advertises the fact that the attackers are weak, desperate, and in the minority.

It is an open attack on democratic governance, grounded on free and fair elections by We the People.
Never forget that the bluster and brutality and made-for-TV violence that we’re witnessing in CA and elsewhere right now on the part of the administration is a sign of weakness and fear.

Not strength.
