It's Argentina. Guy delivers some things for rabid base, has likeable wife (to some), gets Broadway show out of it.
This guy's not even got the likeable wife.

LOLOL Hilton... I want the same room for 3 nights but you're now offering me a penthouse room tomorrow night that's clearly not the same one. Which is an upgrade and I'll take it but having the same one is kinda good.

One thing I noticed in my hotel room in Seattle was the absence of a recycling bin. Everything was comingled in the trashcan.

It needs to be illegal to talk about striking unless you're actually a union member because good goddamn people are clueless and live in some alternate universe on here.

Ah the looniest people in DC are at it again. Did someone forget to bring hris tten?
Here's more details on the proposed D.C. ballot initiative that would freeze rents across the city for two years. The proposer is Ward 8 ANC @salimadofo.bsky.social, and the organization behind it includes @aeidinger.bsky.social, who has been involved in lots of initiatives over the last 10 years.

Being warned we're going to have 3-4 foot seas and significant risk of not feeling good is at least more notice than you'd ever get on ferries in northern Europe. Anti emetic is free.

Okay one last shot across the bow for the night but the same thing of 'okay so no paychecks for x timeframe' is also a Reason Why Unions Don't Strike a lot of the time, I know that's a big fav of people when decrying bad labor conditions: "They should strike"

There are no perfect deals. I'm not particularly happy about this outcome. Not starving 40 million Americans feels important. I might have wanted to hold out until the District court ruled on forcing the administration to use the contingency funds.

Anyone poasting about a general strike is an op. It's 2025 in America, not 1968 in West Germany.

The fuck you are. You've had weeks to do so. Fake and phony.
I get it, but y’all also don’t understand that some of us are _willing to help you survive this sacrifice_ but the mechanisms aren’t there to do this at scale.
Supporting government workers during a shutdown should be a dry run for a general strike, except nobody is organizing that way.

I'm going to say this just once and then step away:
Any federal government shutdown falls on the backs of federal employees. We are the ones without paychecks going on a month.
I want every person who calls this a "cave" to ask themselves if they'd be willing to skip a month's pay for this.
