Es gibt doch schon viele großartige Unternehmen in Deutschland und Europa, die sowas anbieten. Warum nicht mit denen arbeiten?

Trying out and switching to Ubuntu has been really quick and painless for me, the daily experience is much superior to my previous Windows 10 setup. Proton claims to have tools to make it easy to switch from Google, I'm hesitating a lot still. At least using Signal over Whatsapp is really good.

If anyone has further experience on alternatives to US providers, I'd be curious to hear them! Anyone who tried Proton, specifically?
Thinking about this a lot. May be i need to spend more time and energy on it and try it out.

I very much feel the same. I've been looking for an alternative to the Google suite (considering Proton right now) and switched to Ubuntu on my desktop (going great so far bsky.app/profile/fred...), looking for more ways to de-americanize my life.
Now this is just insane. I'm playing a visually stunning AAA title with my Xbox controller on Ubuntu. What a time to be alive!

Ist doch nicht schlimm, wenn sich niemand mehr Grafikkarten leisten kann, wenn wir im Gegenzug Shrimp Jesus und Musks Kinderpornomaschine bekommen und angewiesen werden, Steine zu essen. Klingt fair und verlockend!
