The best way to mark Liz Smith msp contribution to Holyrood would be for @johnswinney.bsky.social & @jennygilruth.bsky.social to support her Residential Outdoor Ed Bill.which will have huge benefits to all #Scotlands school children if passed.
Very sorry to hear this news.

Although I hold many different political views to Liz Smith, I have always valued her distinguished contribution to the Scottish Parliament and also locally in Perthshire.

I wish her well in the future.
Haven't been keeping full track of these yet (intended for Holyrood Hub section of website launching at one year to go!) but I would say Liz Smith standing down is a huge loss for the Conservative MSP group - always gives a sense of serious and careful scrutiny in chamber news.stv.tv/politics/con...
