You should consider encouraging your friends and companies to divest from Twitter / X.
Are you still on Twitter/X? At this point I really want to ask why? It's basically 4chan-lite at this point. I stopped actively engaging with the site over a year ago. The only thing I now post on X is stream links and sponsored content, and this year I've made the decision to stop fully, and I'm encouraging you to do the same. Now I can't say that it's not without risk. I've lost out on plenty of opportunities because many companies and influencer contacts refuse to engage anywhere else. Potential partnerships, sponsorships, etc. are only advertised on X. And unfortunately the reality is that it has irreparably damaged my ability to make money doing the job I do. But, as much as that bums me out, it is worth it. It's worth it not feeding into a data harvesting ai training ground owned by / funding one of the most immoral pieces of trash in the world. A man that has taken credit for the inventions of much smarter men and woman. A man who's collaboration with the US governmemt harmed lives and ended them via cutting soft power funding that was in place to save lives. We need to encourage companies to divest from X and have a presence here on Bluesky. In my opinion there can be no meaningful progress in the digital townsquare until Twitter/X changes ownership or goes under. Please chat with contacts you have on X and encourage them to join us here in these blue pastures.
