Finally watched Frankenstein last night and it’s still sticking with me. No one’s doing it like Guillermo. Grand, emotional, and giddily gory. I love the almost cartoonish devotion to practical effects and stunts. Jacob Elordi wowed me. What a picture!

Went through one of the hardest years of our lives so far in 2025. We landed the bird with good news though — we got approved for IHSS hours for our kids. We started this process in January! It took so long and there were many hoops to jump through but we did it.

I’m a little more than halfway through The Stand since posting this and it’s so good but I’ll need a break from King after this. Any good 300 page slam dunkers you guys wanna recommend? Need a palate cleanser.
I’m a late bloomer Stephen King reader. I’ve read The Shining, It, Dark Tower 1, Salem’s Lot and I read The Green Mile a long time ago. I started The Stand during COVID but couldn’t continue as it freaked me out
Do I pick back up with The Stand, keep going with The Dark Tower or something else?
