A beautiful long weekend for Easter on the stunning Sunshine Coast. The sun stayed out longer than we have seen in a while. So proud of all the team that keep this show on the road. Tomorrow pre-polling starts and we are ready to take on the big parties. Change starts now.

A big week: two Meet the Candidate forums.
Trumpets of Patriots were a no show at both events.
What I did hear from the major parties was the same old rhetoric.
Nothing changes unless we make the change at the ballot box. #voteindependent #auspol

If you are around Alex Surf Club on Monday - pop by and say Hi. We will be in the park enjoying the long weekend and the sun (hopefully).

Completely misleading. Climate 200 has no influence on the #independents other than a shared concern for the environment. And their contribution is only a fraction of Indy campaign money and only offered when the candidate has already reached a considerable level of community support. #auspol
It's awful framing that there is secretly a male mastermind behind the success of independent women MPs, particularly when the model of community engagement they use was pioneered by Cathy McGowan and the Indi electorate, without any input from Homes á Court.
#auspol
Murdochracy must be threatened by the Teals to publish this 👇garbage

Simon Holmes à Court is his own man and his commitment to renewable energy and addressing climate crisis is incredibly effective.

Teals are upending the Liberal party’s ’born to rule’ claim on marginal seats.

Ha! 😁

Really enjoyed sitting down for a chat with @deniseshrivell.bsky.social - make yourself a cuppa or pour a glass of wine and sit down for listen. #auspol
Also - I've now hosted #SpinProof podcasts with 9 community independent candidates

Enjoyed the conversations & getting to know more about their communities

A stand out theme - how the two major parties have left so much unmet need Aust-wide #auspol

Here are the replays > spinproof.podbean.com

We get the leaders we deserve so demand better leaders. We deserve more brave and principled MPs. We need more Pococks, Steggles, Ryans and Spenders. Vote #Independents Shift the balance of power in parliament.
Change the system.
End the Lib/Lab duopoly.
The party is over.

If you get a postal vote form from a political party…

🚫 Don’t fill it in and send your personal info.
💡 It’s quicker + safer to apply directly with the AEC.

The surge of successful independent MPs at the 2022 election shows no sign of changing – and in fact may grow more powerful still.

These are very reasonable questions that all Australians should know to answer to.

The real question is - why is the press gallery incapable of asking them - so it’s left to citizens? #auspol
